Rang.), engraved in upright serif capitals; British South Africa Company´s Medal 1890-97, for Rhodesia 1896, no clasp (Corpl. R. Whyte. M.R.F.); Queen´s South Africa 1899-1902, four clasps, Cape Colony, Wepener, Wittebergen, Belfast (5001 Tpr: R. Whyte. Brabant´s Horse), last officially renamed, generally very fine or better (3) Estimate £ 650-750 The medal roll for 2nd Brabant´´s Horse shows Robert Whyte as Provost Sergeant and notes that he also served as a Trooper with 2nd Imperial Light Horse and the Western Province Mounted Rifles in 1901. Whyte was discharged in the same year.
