N.I.), good very fine Estimate £ 600-700 Lieutenant-General Henry James Barr (1815-1881), born Bombay, India; educated at Mr. H. Stone´´s, Bexley; commissioned Ensign Indian Army, 1832; advanced Major 2nd Bombay Native Infantry 1854; served with the Persian Expeditionary Force, 1856-57, including the storm and capture of Mohumra, and pursuit of the Persian Army (Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel); advanced Major-General 1869; retired Lieutenant-General 1877; died at Apselytown, East Grinstead.
