Troup. 66th N.I.), toned, good very fine Estimate £ 400-450 General Hugh Troup (1803-1879); educated at Fortrose Academy; commissioned Ensign 30th Native Infantry, 1820; advanced Major 1844; posted Lieutenant-Colonel 66th (Gurkha) Native Infantry, 1850, and served with the latter on the Northwest Frontier, 1851-52; Officer Commanding 66th N.I., 1852-56; advanced Lieutenant-General 1870; retired General 1877; died in Perth, Scotland.
