Great Britain Perkins, Bacon Samples A sample sheet of Fairman, Draper, Underwood & Co (Perkins, Bacon in England) (350x430mm) displaying a selection of designs and engine-turned background as used or designed for banknotes. The engine-turned backgrounds include that used for the first Queen Victoria stamps and others similar to those employed on some of the Empire stamps including Grenada and St. Lucia. A fragment of the upper corner is missing and, although this sheet is framed, it has not been stuck down. It is thought that only two of these pages have survived. Photo Estimate £ 3,000-3,500
