                        Fiji  1915 (1 Dec.) "war stamp" 1d. carmine horizontal pair, variety one without overprint,  fresh mint; the left-hand stamp with a light crease, otherwise fine. Attractive and extremely rare, being one of the rarest War Stamp errors of the Empire. R.P.S. Certificate (1957). S.G. 139ab, £7,000. Photo   Estimate £   3,500-4,000    Note: On one sheet of 120 the overprint was shifted to the left on the right-hand pane of 60 by one stamp, resulting in the final column of ten lacking the overprint.
