Austro-Hungarian Post Offices in the Turkish Empire 1867-83 coarse printing 10 soldi blue pair and 50 soldi brown, tied by three fine "smirne" thimble cancellations, with another impression struck below, on 1874 (7 Nov.) entire to Cuba, endorsed "voi de Southampton" (deleted) and replaced by "via Hamburg", with straight-line "franco", New York transit datestamp of 6 Dec. (both in red) and Cuban "NE2" Postage Due handstamp applied on arrival, all on front, oval Trieste 16 Nov. transit d.s. on reverse; a pressed vertical filing fold affects the first 10 soldi, otherwise fine and very rare, being sent under the United States-North German Union Convention to an extremely rare destination.
