West India & Panama Telegraph Company Ltd., 6% first preference shares of £10, 18(97), green, printed by Waterlow & Sons, about very fine. Originally incorporated in 1869 to link Cuba and all other islands in the West Indies with Panama. It failed in 1877 but was re-registered with Sir John Pender as Chairman. Name changed in 1938 to Cable & Wireless (West Indies). Estimate £ 80-100
