Ecuador 1865-72 quadrillé paper, 1r. yellow-ochre, horizontal pair cancelled "franca" in lozenge of dots cancellation on 1872 (4 Apr.) entire letter to Lima; the first stamp a little cut-into at lower-left though with large margins on other sides and showing portions of two adjoining stamps at top, arrival datestamp on reverse, a few small faults.
