Great Britain Line Engraved 1840 One Penny Black Plate VI TE, close to large margins (just touched at lower left), tied on 1840 (3 Dec.) entire letter from Uttoxeter to Cheadle by an exceptionally fine strike of the red Maltese Cross and showing an equally fine strike at left of the "uttoxeter/de 3 1840" double-line c.d.s in red; light vertical filing fold in no way affecting the extremely fine and attractive appearance of this scarce entire of exhibition quality.
