Great Britain Line Engraved 1840 One Penny Black Plate VI IA-JA, vertical pair, close to large margins all round (at tiny fault in the upper right corner of IA not detracting), tied on 1841 (11 Jan.) entire letter from Preston to London by two fine strikes of the Maltese Cross in magenta, dated markings on reverse; light pressed vertical crease.
