1880 (1 April) Overprints on Stamps of Great Britain Covers 1881 (24 May) envelope from Larnaca to Constantinople, bearing 2 1/2d. rosy mauve Plate 14, PJ, neatly cancelled "942 and additionally tied by Larnaca c.d.s., the reverse with sender´s cachet on flap and "british post office/constantinople" c.d.s. (30.5) in red; the envelope with two small tears at top through opening though a clean and attractive franking to an unusual destination. Photo Estimate £ 500-600
