1880 (1 April) Overprints on Stamps of Great Britain Specimen Stamps Half Penny Rose Plate 12 A lower left corner block of seventy-seven, LA-TI, each handstamped "specimen" (GB9), fresh bright colour and with virtually full original gum, a couple of blue crayon markings in the margin; a few light traces of foxing, mainly confined to the margins and two stamps at lower left corner with a crease. A remarkable and outstanding showpiece, and surely the largest multiple of this Specimen stamp. S.G. 1s.
