Dominica 1886 1d. on 6d. green with thick bar, "A07" cancellation, pulled corner perforation at lower-left, fine. A major rarity. P. Holcombe (1996), Brandon (1997) and B.P.A. (1999) Certificates. Photo Estimate £ 9,000-10,000 Note: Only one sheet of this stamp was surcharged, the top row of six was overprinted with a thick bar, the remainder of the sheet being overprinted with a thin bar. The stamp offer above is position 1 of the setting. The unique strip of six thick bar stamps were used on a registered letter to England and a reconstruction of the letter always omitted the first stamp. A rarity which was lost to the philatelic world for over 80 years and rediscovered in the mid 1990´´s.
