Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation $10, Hong Kong, 1 March 1898, serial number 213378 pale blue & pink, arms top centre, value top left and right, manuscript signature low left, printed signature low right, reverse red & white, arms at centre, value at left and right Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank notes prior to 1900 generally exist in the form of $1, large and small, and a much smaller number of $5 notes. Of the $10 denomination few indeed have survived, either in Issued or in Specimen form. Accordingly of all the $10 notes issued by the Bank from 1865 to 1899 there are likely between only five and ten pieces in collector´s hands.
