TRINIDAD 1863-72 Britannia Issue, Watermark Crown CC, Perf. 12 1/2 Covers 1872 (10 Dec.) entire "per Brazilian Mail via New York" and "via St. Thomas" to Lockeport, Canada, bearing 4d. pale mauve and 6d. yellow-green sharing a single strike of the "trinidad" double-arc d.s., showing red crayon "8", "trinidad/paid" c.d.s., New York c.d.s. (20.12), "20/cts" and "14" rate handstamps, the reverse with sender´s cachet in blue, Halifax (23.12) and arrival (25.12) d.s. A rare and most attractive franking.
