TRINIDAD 1862 Britannia Issue, Thick paper, Perf. 11 1/2, 12 Cover (1d.) crimson-lake, 4d. deep purple, 6d. deep green (straight-edge at foot) and 1863 CC, perf. 12 1/2 1/- bright deep mauve, all cancelled "1" and tied on 1863 (13 July) envelope to Penang, showing red crayon "1" alongside "1/10", Trinidad double-arc d.s., Crowned Circle "paid/at/trinidad" and London Paid c.d.s. (14.8); the envelope with some creases, one of which crosses the 6d. value, nevertheless very colourful. A remarkable four-colour franking to a very rare destination.
