TRINIDAD 1861 (June) Britannia Issue, Rough perf. 14-16 1/2 Covers (1d.) rose-red and 4d. lilac (trimmed perfs. at top) each cancelled "1" and tied on 1862 (Jan.) entire from a consulate of unknown origin (part red wax seal on reverse) at Port of Spain to the Governor of St. Croix, showing red crayon "4", Crowned Circle "paid/at/trinidad" and circular-framed "porto" with a further red crayon "4" inside, the reverse with weak despatch and Bahamas double-arc d.s. and St. Thomas Danish P.O. c.d.s.
