Sudan The Nile Expeditionary Force 1898 (18 Aug.) envelope "From Gunner James I Luckett 14857 40 Pounder Det. 16 Coy E.D.R.A. Nile Field Force, Soudan" at Atbara to his brother? in the Royal Fusiliers at Mhow, India and redirected to Nusserabad, countersigned by the Commanding Officer (though not compulsory as it was addressed to a fellow soldier) and bearing 1898 Camel 2m. and 3m. sharing two "s.p.s." c.d.s. and showing, on reverse, Wadi Halfa (20.8), Cairo (28.8), Sea Post Office (4.9), Mhow (10.9) and Nusserabad (12.9) c.d.s.; light overall soiling and a horizontal crease towards foot.
