Sudan The Second Suakin Expedition 1896 (25 June) India 1a. on 9p. Soldiers´ and Seaman´s envelope from "Sobedar Belasing 26 P.I. Trinkitat F.F." at Tokar to India, countersigned by the Commanding Officer and neatly cancelled with a fine strike of the rare "no 1/field p.o./"B" duplex, the reverse (part flap missing) with Sea Post Office 6.6) and Sialkot (16.7) c.d.s. Photo Estimate £ 400-500 Note: The 26th. Punjab Infantry was ordered for Egyptian service on 11th. May 1896 and arrived at Suakin on 30th. May . As there was by that time no campaigning activity in the Suakin area it was sent to Tokar to join the Trinkitat Field Force which saw no action and where it remained until leaving for India on 7th. November
