Natal 1867 (20 Mar.) envelope, with embossed crest on flap, "From No 469 Crl Seg W. Maynard, K Co. 99th. Regt. Fort Napier, Natal, South Africa" to England, countersigned by the Commanding Officer and bearing 1863 1d. carmine-red (defective) cancelled "1" in oval of bars and showing despatch c.d.s. at left and London Paid c.d.s. (31.5) in red, a further arrival c.d.s. (31.5) on reverse the envelope with some faults though scarce and not unattractive. R.P.S. Certificate (2005). Photo Estimate £ 600-700
