European Bengal Fusiliers at Rangoon to Scotland, countersigned by the Commanding Officer and showing framed "india" and "2" charge h.s., the reverse with a fair strike of the rare "rangoon/ship/letter/free" circular h.s. in red, boxed Calcutta Ship Letter d.s. (11.7), London (6.9) and Glasgow (7.9) c.d.s.; the entire backed internally with an 1856 letter from the writers father to the Military Department of the East India Co. thanking them for his late sons effects and requesting the medal that was due to him.
