Central American Association Ltd., certificate of award for Mosquito Land Grants, 1868, signed by the Chairman of the company Captain Bedford Pim, R.N., black, blue underprint, VF. The company acquired land in Honduras after britain renounced its protectorate over Poyais and Mosquito in 1850. Estimate £ 60-80 Bedford Pim is best remembered for leading the daring sledge rescue of the crew of the HMS investigator that was stuck in the Antarctic.
