Ltd., pair of certificates, both No.1, for 6% preference shares of £1 & ordinary shares of £1, 19(19), issued to Sir James Hill and signed by him as a directorblue and red respectively, heavily cancelled, F-VF (2). Acquired by the Westminster Press Group. Estimate £ 80-100 Sir James Hill, 1st Baronet (1849-1936). Politician. Founder of James Hill and Sons, Woollen merchants in 1891, which grew to be the largest wool business in the country. Elected Mayor of Bardford in 1908.
