Tobago 1797 (10 Feb.) entire letter from Fort King George to Scotland, rated "Paid 1" and with light "paid" double-ring d.s. in red on face, the reverse endorsed "A Soldiers Letter of the 60th. Regt." and with a largely fine strike of the rare straight-line "tobago" h.s. in red — the sole example recorded in this colour. A very rare letter written during the War with France.
