"On Maori Council Business Only." envelope front, addressed in Maori, from Ruatoki to Wellington showing, at upper right corner, large illustrated seal handstamp in light blue inscribed "maori council./matatua district." cancelled with despatch c.d.s., marked "Captain Mair" in red ink across address; central vertical fold though very rare with only one complete card and very few envelope fronts known.
