x Russia, Imperial, Medal for the Russian Flag Day Movement 1914-17, 32mm, bronze and enamel, the obverse featuring Tsar Nicholas II´s private flag, unnamed as issued, extremely fine and very rare Estimate £ 20-30 The Medal was given in recognition of services rendered to the Russian Flag Day Movement in the United Kingdom between 1914 and 1917. Queen Alexandra was Patroness of the Movement, and Lord Rosebury was the President. The Anglo-Russian Hospital in Dublin was entirely supported by the Movement, and consisted of a base hospital, two field hospitals, a dressing station, and a motor ambulance column.
