Straits Settlements A 16-page exhibit entitled "A Study of Singapore´s Missionary Mail, 1831-1965", all neatly mounted and written-up with ephemera, postcards. etc., including 1831 entire letter to London showing, on reverse, framed "india letter/folkstone" (2), one over-cancelled by oval-framed "Ship Letter/Crown/folkstone" (rare and apparently the earliest recorded missionary letter from Singapore), 1836 entire letter to London with boxed "india letter/london" h.s. in red on reverse, 1839 entire letter to Batavia showing, on reverse, superb "singapore/ship letter/Bearing" d.s., and a range of later covers/cards (29); a fascinating lot Estimate S$ 20,000-25,000
