Germany, Prussia-Hohenzollern, House Order of Hohenzollern, Princely House Order, Honour Cross First Class, 50mm, silver-gilt, gold, and enamel, Coat of Arms at centre, with pin-back suspension, extremely fine Estimate £ 600-700 When the Principality of Hohenzollern was absorbed into Prussia in 1851, the House Order was split into two, with a Princely House Order, and a Royal House Order. The Princely House Order retained the Coat of Arms of the Hohenzollern Family, whereas the Royal House Order substituted this with a black and white Prussian Eagle, and changed the motto.
