Kronenberger B. Coy.´, in Vaughtons Ltd. leather box, lid embossed in gold lettering, ´Queens Westminster Rifles, 1912´ Estimate £ 140-180 1400 Private Percy Charles Kronenberger, born Croydon; served during the Great War with the 16th (Queen´´s Westminster Rifles) on the Western Front from 1.11.1914; he was killed in action 16.4.1915; from January to June 1915 the battalion occupied the trenches in the Houpelines sector and the Battalion War Diary entry for the date of Kronenberger´´s death gives, ´´a very quiet day intermittent sniping... 1 killed, 1 wounded´´; Kronenberger is buried in the Houpelines Communal Cemetery Extension.
