Stevens R.G.A.); Jubilee 1935, nearly extremely fine (5) Estimate £ 120-150 16757 Battery Sergeant Major James Stevens, born Bridgewater, Somerset; joined the Royal Artillery 1896; he served during the Great War with the 118th Heavy Battery Royal Garrison Artillery on the Western Front from 5.11.1914; postings throughout the war including: 21st and 111th Heavy Batteries and in May 1916 he also served with V29 Trench Mortar Battery.
