(1021172 Gnr. F.C. Skerry. R.H.A.), generally very fine or better Estimate £ 130-160 25926 Gunner Frederick Skerry served during the Great War with the 3rd Brigade Royal Horse Artillery on the Western Front from 15.8.1914. The 3rd Brigade R.H.A. consisted of "D" and "E" Batteries and an amunition column. The two batteries fired the first British artillery shells of the Great War, 22.8.1914.
