Hampshire Regt.);1914 Star (5680 Cpl. P.J. Sullivan. 1/Hamps:R); British War and Victory Medals (5680 Sjt. P.J. Sullivan. Hamps.R.); Army Long Service & G.C., G.V.R. (5680 Sjt: P.J. Sullivan. Hamps:R.), generally good very fine (5) Estimate £ 380-420 5680 Sergeant Patrick John Sullivan, born Stamford, Lincolnshire; joined the Rifle Brigade, 1899, transferring to the Hampshire Regiment later that year; served during the Great War with the 1st Battalion on the Western Front from 28.8.1914; he was taken Prisoner of War in December 1914 and transported to a camp in Germany, before being transferred to Holland, 15.3.1918, and finally being repatriated to the United Kingdom, 18.11.1918 (service papers refer); discharged 27.7.1920, after 21 years service with the Colours.
