fourth coinage, pre-treaty period, 1351-1361, Groat, 4.64g, London, series E , m.m.cross 2, obverse omiting g in dg, stop after hyb, rev. unbarred n´s (Lawrence C.f. 29/29; N.1163; S.1567); another, 4.35g, c and e broken, usual die flaw above crown, unbarred n (Lawrence 72-74/72-73; N 1163; S.1567), the first, obverse a little off centre, ragged edge between 5 and 7 o´clock, minor edge nicks around 12 o´clock, lightly toned, nearly very fine; the second, dark tone, edge nick at 8 o´clock, ragged edge at 6 to 7 o´clock, good fine (2) Estimate £ 180-220 Provenance The first, GV Doubleday.
