Moderno (late 15th century) Combat between Horsemen, rectangular bronze plaquette, 41.3mm. x 48.8mm., extremely fine cast, warm red-brown patina, pierced at top, two areas of solder on reverse Similar to the previous two plaquettes but without the legend. Because it is similar in size and shape and often with a similar shaped border, this version is often paired with the Hercules and the Lion (lot 31).
