x Selangor Covers and Cancellations 1895 (16 Apr.) envelope registered to Georgia, USA, bearing Straits Settlements 1882 8c. orange, 1883 5c. blue and 1892 1c. green (5, one defective), all tied by "kwala lumpur" c.d.s., showing framed registration d.s. (on reverse), circular-framed "a.r" (Proud Type AR1; earliest recorded date) with Penang (18.4), London (13.5), New York (23.5) and arrival (24.5) datestamps; upon arrival at Savannah the envelope was re-addressed to Mexico City, showing despatch d.s. (25.5), Laredo, Texas registration label and arrival c.d.s. (3.6). A marvellous and much-travelled cover of exhibition quality.
