International Printed Paper Rate 1898 (11 June) opened-out Playfair wrapper to France bearing, on the reverse, pair of 1c. on 1ca. pale salmon red (used to seal the envelope, overlapping edge) tied by a fine strike of Ningpo Dollar chop with Shanghai dater alongside; used with Hong Kong 2c. carmine tied by Shanghai c.d.s.
