Hong Kong Treaty Ports Amoy 1882 (10 Nov.) envelope registered to Halifax, Nova Scotia "Viâ San Francisco" bearing 1882-96 10c. dull mauve (2, one with blunt corner) tied by neat strikes of "D.27" with type Dii despatch c.d.s. and a fine strike of the large "R" in circle in red with various transit manuscript numerals, the reverse with San Francisco registration datestamp (18.12), Hong Kong, St. John and Halifax c.d.s. A highly important Treaty Port covers, one of only two registered "D.27" covers and a rare example of the registration handstamp in red. Neil Christensen collection.
