Hong Kong Treaty Ports Amoy 1879 (28 June) opened-out envelope to New York "via San Francisco" bearing 12c. blue in a wing margin strip of three (one defective) and overlapping pairs (2) tied by "forwarded by/amoy/j.l.anderson. oval in blue and "B62" with Hong Kong c.d.s. alongside, the reverse with large boxed J.L. Anderson dated forwarding agent´s cached with champhered corners in purple, San Francisco transit in red and New York arrival; some faults as to be expected by such an important, heavy-weight envelope which weighed over 3 1/2 ounces.
