Hong Kong 1882-96 1882 (24 Aug.) blue envelope registered to Colchester bearing 2c. rose-lake (15, block of 6 and single on reverse) tied by "62B" type B with Hong Kong despatch, "R" in circle in red and "84" in blue crayon with London arrival registered oval; there is a faint strike of handstruck "Per French Packet" and manuscript "For stamps see back", the reverse with the seven additional adhesives, Siemssen & Co datestamps and Colchester arrival. This charismatic cover is one of the more important items of Hong Kong philately, there are thought to be only about fifty covers cancelled "62B" (Gurevitch) whilst only a handful bearing the registration handstamp in red.
