Hong Kong 1863-71 1876 (14 Sep.) envelope registered to Cincinnati "per ´Alaska´" bearing 4c. grey (wing margin) and 12c. blue paying double the Pacific route with 8c. deep orange in lower corner paying registration, tied by "B62" in black and showing a good strike of the rare "registered/hong kong" dated oval in red at left plus a light strike of "hong kong/paid all " c.d.s. in red in lower right corner, Hong Kong despatch on reverse. Some glue stains on flap on reverse, otherwise a charming and important item of registered mail. Neil Christensen collection.
