x New Caledonia 1881-84 Surcharge Issue — 1884 (14 Nov.) cover to H.M.S. ´Neptune´, Portsmouth franked by General Issue 1881 Dubois 15c. blue and vertical pair of Wide Setting 5c. on 40c. red on yellow [15/20] tied by Nouméa c.d.s. in black and by red "modane a paris" c.d.s. (12.1). The cover marked "Arosa Bay" in blue crayon on arrival in Portsmouth; small opening tears at top but a good combination usage. Photo Estimate £ 500-600
