Great Britain Other Illustrated Envelopes 1902 (12 Apr.) a most amusing pen and ink scene of a smartly dressed gentleman pondering the choices of ´virtue´ or ´vice´, which are on separate sides of a pair of scales: ´virtue´ represented by a little angel and gifts such as perfume, jewelry, books, etc.; ´vice´ represented by a little red devil sitting amongst alcohol, tobacco and a pipe - and which quite clearly outweighs ´virtue´; addressed merely to "Mike" at New Wortley bearing K.E.VII 1/2d. pair tied by Bramley duplex cancellation; the cover and adhesive slightly trimmed at top to improve the appearance. A very attractive and most appealing item. Photo Estimate £ 250-300
