Great Britain Postal Stationery 1843 1d. pink postal stationery envelope, used from London to Plymouth cancelled by superb large part strike of the "7" in Maltese Cross, the reverse with beautiful red wafer seal for the "national/anti/corn law league", the enclosed letter headed from John Gadsby at 67 Fleet Street and asks the addressee to send him any "any of No. 1 League not distributed" (presumably a reference to the wafer seals); the reverse with despatch and arrival datestamps of 12 October; Fine and very attractive.
