Great Britain Line-Engraved Issues 1840 One Penny Black Plate V DF, good to very large margins, on entire (side flaps trimmed) from West Bromwich to Sutton Coldfield dated 31 October 1840, tied by superb strike of the Maltese Cross in a distinctive brown-red shade, also 1841 entire used to Birmingham showing superb West Bromwich double-arc d.s. and oval framed "paid/one/penny" both in a similar brown-red shade; an extremely attractive and most unusual pair of covers.
