France 1849-52 40c. orange, two vertical pairs on 1852 (13 Dec.) entire to New York, endorsed "via Liverpool per Steamer Pacific", margins just cut into to enormous and tied by grille sans fin and "21" credit marking in black; the reverse with "ligne de calais" c.d.s.; horizontal filing crease, well away from adhesives.
