India Used Abroad French Possessions mahé, malabar coast: 1866 (June) envelope from Mahé "via Madras" to Bordeaux with sender´s cachet at lower left, bearing India 1865 8p. purple horizontal pair (perfs. partially trimmed off at top) and 4a. green sharing "stamped" h.s. in blue-violet and each cancelled with rhomboid of 64 small rhombi, showing Tellicherry (24.6), P D Madras (26.6) and Poss. Ang. V Suez (26.7) d.s. and boxed "pd", all in red on face, the reverse with Madras d.s. (26.6) in blue and Bordeaux (27.7) c.d.s.; highly attractive and very rare, being one of only two covers we can record with this cancellation. Photo Estimate £ 600-800
