France Post Offices Abroad Turkey 1866 (16 Dec.) entire letter from Constantinople to New York, franked by 1863 40c. orange and 80c. carmine tied by fine strikes of ancre lozenge, with "constantinople/p.fr.u.no.2" octagonal datestamp alongside and red "new york/paid all" (10/1) on front and American 3 cents credit marking; horizontal crease and some soiling.
