France 1852-53 Republic Français 25c. blue, Postal Fraud; 1855 (28 Feb.) entire letter to Riberac, Dordogne from Verteillac bearing a large margined example (small fault) re-used in attempted postal fraud. Spotted by postal clerk and taxed with handstruck "30" in black (the stamp was originally cancelled by "83" petits chiffres of Angouleme and sent on to the Postmaster in Riberac within Official yellow compensation envelope.
