British Guiana Covers and Cancellations Mail to Other Destinations — 1891 (8 Apr.) large part envelope registered from Leguan to New York, bearing 1888-89 1c. (2) and 3c. (9) cancelled with c.d.s. and showing, at lower left corner, a fine strike of the very rare oval-framed "registered/at/leguan" h.s. (T&H Fig. 1, Proud R2), the earliest known example by three years; the envelope opened-out and with some faults (mainly on reverse) though of fine appearance. Photo Estimate £ 140-180
