British Guiana Covers and Cancellations Mail to the United Kingdom 1860 (7 July) entire (no side flaps) to Edinburgh, bearing 1860 thick paper, perf. 12 12c. lilac neatly cancelled "A03" and with manuscript "6" and London Paid c.d.s. (28.7) alongside, Edinburgh c.d.s. (29.7) on reverse. A most important British Guiana franked cover, being the earliest 1860 issue known on cover and the first possible use of the Colony´s first adhesive stamp for prepaying overseas postage. R.P.S.
